Huge news emerged this morning with former sporting director and current F1 journalist, Peter Windsor claiming that Raikkonen would replace Alonso at Ferrari, instead of Massa as reported earlier.
Is Formula 1 prepared for an earthquake news in the coming weeks?
Fernando Alonso and Luca di Montezemolo’s relationship might have hit a new rock bottom. The Spaniard tweeted a subliminal message this morning about Montezemolo’s insulting words when he rebuked the world champion in public.
Peter Windsor, F1 journalist, broadcaster and manager, claims that Ferrari are heading for a swap with Lotus. The Enstone team would get Alonso and Ferrari will get Raikkonen, dismissing previous reports that the Finn would replace Felipe Massa.
Massa’s seat would then be secure, as Santander’s deal with Ferrari requires at least one Latin driver in the team.
Fernando Alonso raced for Lotus (then Renault) before, winning two world championships in 2005 and 2006 under Flavio Briatore’s reign. If the reports are true, Alonso is on his way back to Enstone.
